Report about the inland stipends in the school year 2004/2005

This project of the Foundation Studium Academicum grew up from an initiation of a rural congregation. Pupils who are living in the village are more disadvantaged as the pupils from the towns. The initiator got the inspiration to prepare a long term project which could support affected pupils.

Trough a donation from Holland there could start to go to school at the beginning just one gipsy girl. As a result of this example was formulated the whish to help pupils and students organised and regularly in their studies.

The systematically support was started in the year 2002, as our Foundation received a donation from the Lemsford St. John school from England . Trough this help we could insure a longer support for pupils. After that we received additional donations, form pupils of the schools in Appeldorn (for school materials), from the Foundation HOE (Hulp Ost Europa) and from a Hungarian woman Szerzö Edit from Sweden .

Because the valuable initiation grew above the initiator congregation Vaida, the Foundation Studium Academicum took all the responsibility of the project management on itself.

At the beginning there was given this possibility just for pupils beginning form the 9-th class reachable, but later it became extended also for students, independent which congregation they are belonging to.

Trough this stipend project there were receiving in the Scholl year 2004-2005 25 persons monthly 600.000 Lei, two persons 400.000 Lei, and one person 800.000 Lei. That means that the Foundation Studium Academicum spends in this School year overall 118.400.000 Lei for stipends. The money was transferred trough post, and also the transfer costs ware paid of the Foundation.

The Foundation Studium Academicum would like to continue this stipend project, and is wishing to be able to extend it and is waiting for donors and their offers.
