Reformed identity, Christian openness
As the Foundation Studium Academicum had announced his yearly youth camp, it was already clear, that their will be surplus of response. Until now many youth have been registered every year.
Due to this high interest had the Foundation Studium Academicum - together with the youth department of the SGP Nederland - organized the youth camp with the item: "Identity and openness - Christian perspectives".
At 15th-20th August, in Sacele , in the neighbourhood of Brasov, participated 32 Youth from Roumania and 5 youth form the Nederland's at the announced international camp.
The fascinating program vas daily coordinated by the co-workers of FSA. The leaders of the camp were László Kállay and Elemér Szatmári, and as invited co-workers were present Tünde Kállay and Attila Zsigmond.
The two Dutch and two Hungarian presentations have given a draft above mentioned item. The presentations were followed by workshops. The difference of opinions made the plenary session wary colourful. All of the participants were actively involved because debating a wary actual question.
At the summarising discussion was formulated: In the unified Europe it has to be more clear accentuate the strengthening of the identity, without betraying our fellow ones. In this process the Christian respect and the openness to one another have a decisive role. This has to be showed also in the acceptance from one another.
Over and above of lectures the personal contacts and conversation were also possible. All this was perfectly to practice during the brakes the games, or even at the campfire. That gives a chance to prove the mutual openness and acceptance.

The acceptance was exercised also during larger or shorter rambles, in their physical and psychical challenges.


The wonderful landscape and the reveal of the Transylvanian delight guaranteed an unforgettable remembrance for the participants.


At the end of the camp the participants left with the strengthened hearth and conviction that the Christian openness helped them to get acquainted and the mutual acceptance. It became clear, that not just maintaining of your own identity is necessary, bat also the acceptance of other, without giving up the own national and religious identity.
